The head of the Ripman Institute for the Development of the Negev, Hagai Reznik, appealed to the government ministers to establish a multi-ministerial team to handle and speed up mass migration from the Diaspora, in light of the growing anti-Semitism in European countries and the US. In a letter to Minister of Absorption Ofir Sofer, Foreign Minister Israel Katz, Diaspora Minister Amichai Shikli and Minister The Galilean Negev Yitzhak Worslauf, on which the Prime Minister and all the ministers of the government are also written, Reznik wrote: "Precisely now is the time to address two vectors - to strengthen the damaged Negev, and to address the settlement of the Bedouin population in the Negev who have shown solidarity and a common destiny since the beginning of the war, alongside preparing the Negev to receive hundreds of thousands of immigrants New from Diaspora Judaism".

"The Negev dominates about a third of the State of Israel and has tremendous potential for huge infrastructural and transportation connections, and the ability to create a game changer," Reznik continued. "'When it is tortured it will multiply and it will break out' we read on Passover - but it is not enough to read, we need to promote practical and multi-ministerial plans. A political vision is not only a way of looking beyond the borders, but also looking to the borders inside the State of Israel, into our Negev "The people of Israel will be tested in the Negev" - the old man already said and now it is our duty in this generation to fulfill it.

In summing up his words, Reznik noted that "promoting a political vision is not only looking to the borders outside, but also to the borders inside - to the strengthening of our Negev."
